4. Medogata vyadhi ( Diseases related with Fats)

The Medadhatu [i.e. fats] is the fourth Dhatu in the sequence.

Snehana means to provide lubricants for the smooth functioning of the human body is the fuction of the Medadhatu.

In the metabolism of the Medadhatu the nutrients for the Asthidhatu is produced.

The Jupiter is the signifactor of Medadhatu as well as Kafadosha.

When in the Birth Chart the Jupiter is in debilitating position or in relation with 6^th,8^th and 12^th houses or affected by the Saturn and or by Mars then the person will suffer from Medagata vyadhi.

The Sthaullya i.e. Obesity and Obesity related disorders are said to be Medogata vyadhi by Ayurveda.
